Synopsis:

Welcome to Episode Three of Brewtal Bands To Watch For RECAP April 2021.

We've been fortunate enough to have so many sick bands thus far in Brewtal's lifespan support the show and we wanted to make sure they got one more episode of airtime!

Each month either Todd or Arie will recap the songs that were featured on Brewtal, give a little more insight into the track, and let you hopwolves do the beer sippin and head bangin!

Don't forget that you can crank these jams, and future ones, up anytime on our Bands To Watch For Playlist!

Mugshot

(E16) Don't Call It A Throwback feat. Mugshot | Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer and Altered Genius Brewing Co's Winter Winds Craft Beer Reviews

Mugshot started as a band in 2015 when we met our guitarist Michael. Our vocalist Eli and our drummer/producer Connor had been friends/band mates for years before this, but Michael was responsible for creating what Mugshot would eventually become. We released our debut album Dull Boy in 2016 and have been touring consistently every since then. Empty Heaven is our first album release in 4 years so we’re really excited for people to hear it. Our music has always been about standing up against discrimination and bigotry, as well fighting mental illness and making sure that everyone knows that that there is someone out there that knows how you feel.

Nothing Noble

(E17) Corridor of Covers feat. Nothing Noble | Oskar Blues Brewery's Dale's Pale Ale and Equilibrium Brewing's Energy Equals Craft Beer Reviews

Copenhagen-based progressive metalcore outfit NOTHING NOBLE provide neck-breaking, bouncy grooves that grow ever heavier and darker with every frustrated yell and growl from the gut of vocalist Cornelius Qvist. The quartet is now, after 3 years of intense writing, ready to release their unrelenting sophomore album "Modern Dismay".

"Modern Dismay" is an exhibition of excessively groovy and deliciously dissonant, disgusting and catchy choruses, added guest performances by prominent vocalists from the international metal scene (COUNTERPARTS, END, MØL). The album is to be released on August 6th through Prime Collective.

Akkadian

(E18) Bock From The Grave feat. Akkadian | Twisted X Brewing Co's Kreische Bluff Bock and Warpig's Foggy Geezer IPA Craft Beer Reviews

Named after the ancient Mesopotamian Empire, ”Akkadian” are a five piece metal band from Cambridge, UK, who bring fast, hard hitting, groovy songs, with a psychedelic undertone. Akkadian expresses a deep interest in ancient history, from the Sumerians to the Egyptians, with a dash of inter-dimensional travel. These elements are then woven into the branding, theme and story telling of their songs. Akkadian’s goal is to create a dynamic portfolio of music, as well as a new culture within the metal genre.

The band currently have three singles released: “BLACK SAND”“EMANATION”, and recently "AGENDA", which you can download and stream on all major platforms.

Monasteries

(E19) Everything Comes From Silence feat. Monasteries | Karbach Brewing Co's Strawberry Fields and RAR Brewing's Nanticoke Nectar Craft Beer Reviews

Monasteries are a Technical Deathcore band from Wolverhampton, England. We like writing ridiculous riffs and creating songs that are chaotic but still super fun to listen to. We tend to try and experiment as much as possible within one track, whilst also making it "make sense". The EP is totally filled with this, and our next releases are going to be even more chaotic, but we're super happy with Silence as our latest landmark in the Monasteries timeline, and if you're into metal, we can guarantee there's something in our tracks for you.
