By the time Ralph was eight years old he was singing in church choir groups and with neighborhood kids. Noticing his distinct musical gift, his family encouraged him to pursue his vocal and percussion abilities. His talents were further enhanced at Southern Illinois University where he majored in Music Education studying voice, and piano.

  Besides putting on musical productions, playing congas, kalimba’s, and piano with various bands, singing at various functions, Ralph spent several months at Tuffgong Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica where he recorded commercial jingles and co-produced local artist.

  In 1988 Ralph went into the studio again to record “Jah Gonna Bring Them Down” recorded on the ZGweet Records label (an independent company co-founded by Ralph, Eugene Fortune, and Alfredrick Harris.

  In the early 1990’s Ralph spent time as associate producer, writer, and vocalist at Cogito ergo Sum Recording Studio in E.St.Louis, Ill. 

  1996? The move to Madison, WI. Inspired new and invigorating material such as “Lake Monona” and “Glass Box”.  2018 “A Song For Ophelia” A song that sings.

2019 “And So It Goes” an instrumental released by Ralph on Bandcamp.

Currently, Ralph freelances at St. Louis area jazz clubs and coffee houses sharing his vocal pizazz touching the hearts of all in attendance.  

 In the spring of 1999, Ralph’s 1st cd “The Stuff We Are Made Of” hit the airwaves recorded on the ZGweet Records label. As the music of the ancients pierces through the future.
