Long ago, Amity Archer hears a call for help coming from the black and finds much more than she expected.

More recently, Etianne Calsdottir sets out on her wander and comes home to find something worse than she imagined.

Sometime ahead, Etta Hobb looks for her parents killers and finds no answers to her questions.
