Black Lives Matter.  That's all there is to it.  

The battle cries at the opening of this episode are real recordings from protests in my town.  These are the voices of the side of history that will make a change.  And that's what I aim to do here today.  

People of Color have been treated unjustly in many ways by law enforcement, which has created a barrier for survivors of abuse and assault to come forward and get help.  We are a community that listens to all voices, and helps all survivors become champions.

If you want to help, below are a few things you can do. 

1. Call your state representative and encourage them to support and reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act. 

2. Become an informed ally.  Knowledge is power. 

3. Support local and national organizations:
