This week we have more podcasts than usual as they are forming part of our Bookkeepers' Bootcamp.

This evening Jo Wood and Zoe Whitman were joined by Caroline Cant & Louise Ball.

Caroline Cant is an ICB certified bookkeeper based in Goring on Thames. Caroline started her journey with the ICB back in 2014 and opened the doors to her own practice ‘CC Virtual Bookkeeping’ in January last year. Caroline mainly works with service based businesses and loves nothing more than finding a great piece of software in order to automate her own workflow and her clients processes.

Looking for a career change after working as an NHS nurse Louise discovered her love for bookkeeping. Leaning to all her personality traits of being controlled, organised and accurate it ticked all of the boxes. After studying with Ideal schools whilst on Maternity leave Louise became accredited with the ICB. She gained experience working for a small bookkeeping practice responsible for her own group of clients. Then finally her own bookkeeping practice Eleven Accounts Services was born.

They discussed how bookkeepers can leave their day jobs in order to launch their own practice.
