There is a population of 130 000 elephants in Botswana. Overpopulation of elephants and the challenge it poses has been an ongoing debate over the years. This week President Mokgweetsi Masisi threatened to send 20 000 elephants to Germany amid a dispute over the import of hunting trophies.
