Guest: Ariejan Korteweg

Ariejan Korteweg wrote several pieces in De Volkskrant about the Houellebecq versus Kirac case. In one of these articles, he proposes that Houellebecq and Kirac should strike a deal and divide the spoils. In Episode VII with Kirac, Stefan Ruitenbeek refers to this column to demonstrate how little journalists from traditional media seem to understand the case. When Ariejan Korteweg responds in a disgruntled manner on Twitter, I challenge him to a conversation to thrash out all our differences. Buckle up for a bumpy ride!

About the series Houellebecq vs Kirac: In this special series I want to report on the lawsuit between Michel Houellebecq on one side and KIRAC, or Keeping It Real Art Critics, on the other side. Leading up to the judge's verdict in about four weeks, I want to talk to various directly involved parties, in the lawsuit and in the making process of Kirac's film, the film about Houellebecq, the film that Houellebecq wants to ban.
