Are y'all doing Dry January this week? We're not. (But you already knew that, didn't you?) With Christmas behind us and taxes on the horizon, we've found that our pockets are half empty though our glasses are half full. This week, we're talking about budget wines and sipping something that costs £7.00, but does it taste like a million bucks?! 🍷💸
WINESUP: KATE: Thinks it's disingenuous that the wine reviewer for The Times wrote about getting healthy but failed to really address the elephant in the room: the great amount of wine he has most likely consumed over the course of his career. Is she just a bitch or do we need to have a more real and nuanced chat about wine and our health?
ANGELA: Happy Veganuary! The Co-op is introducing 100 new vegan wines into their stores so we took a moment to talk about what a vegan wine is and why you might (or might not) want to check them out.
CARO: Budgeting for the year ahead? Start saving for the Coravin Model 11 which is out in September. It's Bluetooth enabled and we think we want one...
Are you drinking anything cheap and cheerful these days? Tell us about them in the comments or by using the tag #WinesUp over on Instagram or Twitter!
THE DRINKING:Fairtrade Butchers Block Bonarda Malbec 2016 which we bought at Marks and Spencer for £7.00.
This Bottle Bitches episode was produced by Producer Paul (PP) of Dark Horse Digital. Please direct any and all hate mail to him as he's the producer and it only seems fair.
Did you enjoy this episode? Well hurry the heck up and subscribe to the podcast over in Apple Podcasts! We would also love for you to write us a review so other folks may be unfortunate enough to find out about us too.  But only if they're not vegan...
Until next time! xx
