A few months back Jenosaur and I (Stevil) were invited to do a panel at the North West Fan Fest by our friend Casey White of ShogunGamer.com, to talk about pop culture's effect on today's media, so basically comics, comics and more comics. On this panel I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron Golden, co-founder of Living Myth Magazine and writer of the column 'God of Comics' and honestly, I don't know why it took so long to have him on the show. His story of Warren Ellis pitching Next Wave to Marvel solidified his spot in the guest chair alone.

I had the chance to chat with Aaron over Skype and we settled into some pretty deep comic TV and movie discussions about all the negative reaction to Gotham, why he'd checked out of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and he enlightens me on the "fat guy with a power ring" movie that opened the door for Christopher Nolan to reboot the world's greatest detective.

Delving into the comic pages themselves, Aaron tells us his origin story. From learning to read with a Transformers comic, getting a Batman recommendation from an unlikely source, to becoming a novelist himself, our guest shows and proves his knowledge and gives us an abundance of food for thought.
