The Boyder Show #7: Entrepreneur & Food Network's "Cupcake Wars" Winner Thais Da Silva

Welcome to the Graduation Series on the Do You Podcast, hosted by me, Boyder.

This series is inspired by real life events, of real people, asking very real questions I wish I would have asked when I was graduating.

I’ll be releasing these interviews over the next 8 weeks since millions of people will be completing terms of their education during this time.

But isn’t just for graduates, these conversations can be applied to anyone embarking on a new horizon. A definition for the word commencement is literally “to start or begin”. Whether you’re leaving high school, college, changing majors or careers, looking to start a business or a passion project, you’ll be able to find a perspective that can help you take a confident first step in the right direction.

These are conversations with people who I admire. These are people of influence in their given fields. Some have taken the traditional job route and some have fell right into the world of entrepreneurship. Some have even had a combination of both.

We’ve all had to answer the famous question from family, friends, and the world: “So, What are your plans?”

Since, “Uhhhhhh” is a very popular answer, I’ve been inspired to delve into this subject, to help lesson the fright of this uncertain period of time.

The next steps following that question are what this series of interviews is all about.

All of my guests had to face the wrath of that question. Then, they embraced their naivety taking one step at a time and came out the other end to find fulfillment in their work and career.

Listen, I’m all about keeping life fun, light, and funky, but hopefully these conversations will help us all “adult” a little better.
