Lieutenant David Haynes, a retired police officer who worked on the North Side of the city, makes his weekly visit to the WGN Radio studios and the Bob Sirott Morning Show. Lt. Haynes, who co-authored “The Beat Cop’s Guide to Chicago Eats,” reviews Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Located at 921 Pasquinelli Drive in Westmont, they are known for their variety of seafood dishes, gumbo, and Mardi Gras cheesecake. Lt. Haynes also reviews Scafuri Bakery, located at 1337 West Taylor in Chicago. They are known for their Mardi Gras king cake, variety of cookies, and the lemon ricotta loaf.
