Lieutenant David Haynes, a police officer who works on the North Side of the city, joined the Bob Sirott Morning Show for his weekly “foodie” segment. Lt. Haynes, who co-authored “The Beat Cop’s Guide to Chicago Eats,” had a bit of a theme when reviewing restaurants. He started with La Piñata Bakery, who offer traditional Mexican, French and American baked goods and pastries in Lincolnwood. After that, the Lieutenant talked about Maria’s Mexican Restaurant, which has locations in Rosemont/O’Hare & Galewood/Monteclare.
