Johnny Logan was a four-time national league all-star shortstop. He was Milwaukee’s shortstop for 14 straight years, beginning in 1948 with the American Association Brewers through 1961 with the Braves. In Busch Stadium on May 10, 1957, No. 23 had a walk, two singles, a double, a home run, and five RBIs as the Braves whipped the Cardinals 10-5. Johnny was the founder and president of the Milwaukee Braves Historical Association. The Braves memorial is located near Helfaer Field outside American Family Field. In the first part of this podcast episode I asked Johnny about his best memory of County Stadium and in part two his association with Hank Aaron. He even came up with a strange theory on Hank’s number 44.
