Gene Autry, singer, songwriter, actor, musician, rodeo performer and Major League Baseball owner. He gained fame as a singing cowboy on radio and television. He was the owner of several radio stations in southern California. Gene appeared in 93 films and hosted the “Gene Autry Show.” On this day, my interest was in his biggest hit record “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” Gene’s explanation is followed by more red-nose revelations from the songs writer, Johnny Marks.
