Our compilation show is a deep dive with host, Trent Reinsmith, into the bigger news and goings on in MMA, both inside and outside the cage; presented with a critical, unbiased eye.

Here is some detail on what’s going on here. The “regular” ‘C’mon Now MMA Podcast’ is a daily podcast of varying lengths, the concept of the podcast is to look at goings-on in MMA and dig below the surface of that news — it can be found here: cmonnow.substack.com/. This show is a compilation of some of the best topics covered over the past week.

Here is a summary of the topics discussed, during the latest episode of the weekly “Best of” edition of the podcast. We hope you enjoy listening to the show and will continue to support it going forward. This week's topics include:

1. What happened to Mike Perry getting the help he needed before he fights again?
2. Ryan Hall uses Hitler to make his point and that was a huge "C’Mon Now". I get what Hall was trying to say, but Hitler was not the right person to use. Hitler is never the right person to use. A better example would have been California firefighters.
3. Jessica-Rose Clark is not the only UFC fighter who needs to look for other sources of income. I suspect the number of fighters doing the same will increase with the DWCS signings. Could that lead to change? I don’t think so, but I still have hope.
4. Colby Covington Fact Check. Covington spread “fake news” about Black Lives Matter.
5. Colby Covington says he didn’t say anything racist, but he did.
6. Paulo Costa and his manager are pretty steamed at Israel Adesanya.
7. Don’t post, report or spread unverified UFC pay numbers.
8. Is the UFC’s acknowledgement of Hispanic Heritage Month just an empty PR ploy from Dana White and the UFC? And please, spare me the white history month questions.
9. How Dana White uses the bully pulpit to attempt to intimidate the MMA media.
10. Conor McGregor goes over Dana White’s head and that was not a smart move.
11. I think the charity event idea between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier was a smart move, but McGregor screwed that up by jumping to Disney.
12. Did Jon Jones play things right? And is he headed back to light heavyweight? Was that always the plan? Is Jones going to get himself Conor McGregor’s money?
13. The story shouldn’t be about Israel Adesanya’s actions, but it should be about Paulo Costa and MMA’s culture of homophobia, sexism and racism. It’s time to look in the mirror and address the big problems.
14. The toxic MMA environment is at least partially responsible for costing MMA one of the best the sport has ever seen. Ya’ll screwed up big time.
