Wes Ross is a comedian/podcaster. Isabel Mathes is a singer/actor. In this episode, they join Justin to talk the Wes Craven classic that sliced the Slasher sub-genre wide open. Neither of them had seen the movie before (weird right?), so enjoy hearing some completely fresh takes on the iconic film that currently has its 4th sequel in theaters now.

Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 (1987) + Treevenge

Christmas time has come around, and once again we are talking holiday horror. Since our main course this week is only really half a movie we haven't already done, we threw in an appetizer. An early work from the director of Hobo with a Shotgun about murderous Christmas trees, and a sibling story about Santas that slaughter the innocent. What more could one want for Christmas?!

Halloween (1978)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! In this special episode, the buddies finally make a trip to Haddonfield and have our first run-in with The Shape, Michael Myers. We carve into the Carpenter classic that perfected the tone of the slasher film and gave us the first appearance of horror's finest final girl, Laurie Strode. We ask the tough questions like "Does Micheal need adrenochrome?" and less weird things. Enjoy.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988) Feat. Daniel Angelo Monaco

Special guest Dan Monaco is a comedian and works at Baton Rouge haunted house, The 13th Gate. Today he joins the show for a discussion of one of the essential video store delights, Killer Klowns From Outer Space. It's a movie that knows exactly what it is, and goes all in on it's premise. Pop some popcorn, snuggle up to your balloon dog, and enjoy.

Monster Dog (1984)

In this episode, we dig up the bones of an obscure 80's oddity starring Alice Cooper. It's a wild, head-scratching ride of a movie that's bookended by the same music video played twice. Wild beyond reason, listeners can seek this one out and see if Monster Dog is man's best friend, or should be put down. Enjoy.

The Mortuary Collection (2019)

We've reached episode 50! And how fitting that with Trent moving to South Korea, this will be the last episode the Buddies record in the same room. Today, we dive into the debut film from Ryan Spindell. It's a crowd pleasing anthology that takes you across everything we love about the horror genre. With a creepy killer performance by Clancy Brown as the mortician, Montgomery Dark, it's an instant classic in the anthology sub-genre. Enjoy.

Riki Oh: The Story of Riki (1991)

This week, we take a trip to the far east in one of the craziest movies we've ever done. It's part kung fu action film and part Troma inspired splatter fest. Following up on last episode's punk splatter vibe, this week we tackle the kiwi classic that inspired every modern splatter horror comedy. Part of Peter Jackson's trilogy of cult classics, and with one of the greatest final acts of any zombie movie, it's not one to watch on a full stomach. Enjoy.

Uncle Peckerhead (2020)

As you can tell by the title of this week's episode, Trent got to pick some titles this month. I'm not even mad though, because this is a hilarious and heartfelt punk rock splatter flick that leaves a lasting impression. Take a shot every time Trent points out a band shirt he recognized in the movie. Enjoy.

Jack Frost (1997)

The last episode of December is a CHILLING and thrilling little cult classic. Truly a one of a kind slasher (besides the sequel), this is one that goes all in on it's concept. Trigger warning to our sexual assault survivor listeners for this one.

Gremlins (1984)

With just a few short days until Christmas, we unwrap the tiny terror that spawned a million imitators. It's a Joe Dante classic with that "Amblin Feel". A movie that really tugs at your heartstrings, but with enough gross-outs and scares to satisfy a couple degenerates like your hosts. Enjoy.

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

1 week closer to Christmas, and today we tackle another holiday horror. It's a story of mental trauma and proves that nuns are just the worst. Leave out the milk and cookies, tie little Billy to the bed, and go let the cat inside for Silent Night, Deadly Night.

It's December, so the buddies are getting into the holiday spirit. This week we take a look at this Gremlins inspired, (mostly) family friendly fright flick. It's got everything you could want in a christmas horror with enough heart and humor to make it a horror comedy for the ages. So keep the fire warm...because Krampus is coming to town.

Blood Rage (1987)

The buddies are back from hibernating after the 31 day marathon. Today's episode will be the first in a four film feast from today to Black Friday. Much like Thanksgiving itself, you're going to over-indulge in cheese and turkeys. Today, we take a look at a really cool slasher that's about family at it's core. And isn't that what the holidays are all about? It's not cranberry sauce, it's BLOOD RAGE!

It's Halloween eve, and as we creep closer to Samhain, why not pay a visit to our pal Sam? Today, we look at THE greatest Halloween movie of all time, Trick r Treat. It's an expertly crafted movie, with interlocking stories that all pay off in huge ways. One of the finest anthologies ever made, and a treat for anyone who hasn't seen it. Enjoy.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

In today's episode, we look at an underrated, and wrongfully misunderstood movie. Originally the butt of many Michael Myers jokes, when judged on it's own, this is a very fun movie. Spookies (1986)

Wow. There's not a whole lot I can say about today's movie. The buddies dive into a movie that is so off the wall crazy, that most people think it's two different movies cut together. The characters are paper thin, there's no explanation for anything, but damn is it fun. Like dipping french fries in your frostie, this movie seems strange and unnecessary, but it pays off in a really fun experience. 

Demon Knight (1995)

We're on the final lap of the 31 days of Halloween, and today, the buddies crack open the first of the Tales from the Crypt feature length films and the movie that made Ernest Dickerson a master of horror. It's a perfectly crafted pulp story with a stellar ensemble cast including Billy Zane's show-stealing performance as The Collector. Terrifier (2016)

Trent is drunk as fuck in this episode, as we dive into Damien Leone's slasher indie hit. It's a dirty, grimy, pull no punches film that brought about a new slasher icon in Art the clown. Enjoy.

DEATHGASM (2015)

Today, the buddies take a look at the New Zealand made metal demon movie called DEATHGASM. (Lower case is for pussies). It's a great party movie with some really lovable characters, heavily influenced by Evil Dead II and Dead-Alive. If you don't like it, you're probably a poser. Enjoy.

Today, we take a look at Clive Baker's awesome monster mash movie, Nightbreed. It's a movie that the buddies love to death and you should too. Part slasher, part creature feature, part romance, all awesome. Careful editing was required to remove the names of some assholes in government we talk about. I guess if we get sued, we'll go looking for Mideon to start a new life. Enjoy.

Them! (1954)

Following up on yesterday's insect movie, the creepy crawlers in today's movie are far larger in size. It's the atomic age, B-Movie not about bees, but about ants. It's a warning against nuclear energy, the A-Bomb, and it's pretty fun. Enjoy.

Squirm (1976)

In today's episode, the buddies dig their way into a creepy crawly cult classic. Notably featured on MST3K, this isn't necessarily a good movie (unless you ask Trent), but it is a fun movie. So have a drink, check it for worms first, and enjoy.

Today, the buddies talk at length about Stuart Gordon's surprisingly deep creature feature, Castle Freak.
