Gasant Abarder is a journalist who has worked in print, radio and television newsrooms in South Africa for 21 years. He was the editor for the well known South African Cape Times and Cape Argus newspapers. Gasant was nominated as the Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans in 2013. He also served as the deputy chairperson of the South African National Editor's Forum and is he currently the Media, Marketing and Communications Manager for the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
We spoke Gasant about his book “Hack with a Grenade” to get a little glimpse into his 21-year career as newspaper journalist and editor.
