Does service work always equate to no money? Can you earn something from doing good work?
Most of us mistake nonprofit organizations as purely voluntary work and services - this doesn't mean that they're always free.
This week, Coach Kirsten talks with one of Utah Business 2020's Women of the Year honorees, Tobie Spears, about the secret to nonprofit success. Learn about the different opportunities for funding, the surprising identity of their key sponsors, and that one thing you need to get community buy-in.
Tobie Spears is the Founder & Executive Director of Guatemalan Humanitarian Tours based in Utah where 90% of their volunteers, sponsors, and constituents are female. They help children, teens, and adults reach their full potential with early nutrition and continued education. Apart from running her nonprofit, Tobie stays busy working as a birth and postpartum doula as well.
