My guest this week is the singer, and songwriter, Dan Wilson.
Many of you know him as the frontman of the 90’s band Semisonic – with hits like "Chemistry" and the anthem, "Closing Time". Dan has also been behind stadium hits from Adele’s "Someone Like You" to collaborations with John Legend, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, and many more. Dan’s songwriting credits are like a murderer's row of hits.
The guy is a hit factory and just released his new ep, "Dancing on the Moon".
Dan and I discuss the state of the industry, songwriting vs publishing, bowling shirts from the 90s, puppet shows, K-Pop, art, his journey to songwriting, and words and music in six seconds.
