An astounding report in the New Yorker magazine has revealed many details of this trial which UK audiences (due to baffling secrecy orders) have been prevented from hearing about. I summarise the problems with the evidence and overall trial here. There is serious doubt about the validity of the conviction. Simply put, this case was NOT proved beyond a reasonable doubt.
