On this episode of the BWR Podcast, the crew had the pleasure of interviewing Ms. Terrica Lynn Smith out of New Orleans, LA. At 5 years old, she was sold to her mother’s drug dealer to pay a debt. After a childhood filled with abuse, neglect, poverty, and foster homes, Terrica had a breakthrough when she found herself sleeping under a bridge at 17 with her son. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Terrica moved to Lafayette, LA and her real estate journey began. Terrica is now a real estate agent and developer, published author, seasoned investor with over 100 real estate holdings, owner of the largest real estate crowdfunding company in Louisiana, and founding investor in Madeline Cove, a $15 million dollar mixed use development in Lafayette, LA. Terrica embodies resilience and her story proves that it doesn’t matter how you start, its all about how finish.
