Kendrick Johnson was just 17 yrs old when he was found dead stuffed inside a rolled-up gym mat at his local high school, Lowndes High School in Valdosta. The case became national news when it was discovered that his organs were removed and his body stuffed with newspapers prior to burial. The case which was officially ruled by local authorities as a tragic accident, family, and friends were not convinced and have continued to pursue justice for the young boy. A newly elected sheriff, Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk, announced that her office will reopen the investigation.
