Happy New Year! Welcome back to The Bklyn Combine podcast after a brief hiatus. This week we have a special guest and fellow community activist, Erica Mateo. Ms. Mateo is Director of Community-Based Initiatives at the Center for Court Innovation/Brownsville Community Justice Center and her mission as an organizing and social service field professional is to develop, beautify, and improve NYC's business and residential districts, starting with her hometown of Brownsville, Brooklyn of course.

Join us for another episode of The Bklyn Combine podcast as Erica shares her journey with us and provides some possible solutions or as she likes to put it, "small, visible, tangible, wins that build on each other."

We are the Bklyn Combine, a not-for-profit community organization. We work with schools, community organizations, and dedicated city officials to help provide mentorship, critical education, leadership, and social support programs to youth and young adults in low-income and underserved communities.
