We can tell ourselves it’s because we want to spare the feelings of our employees, customers, family members, and friends, but the hard truth is that we don’t have difficult conversations because we don’t want to be uncomfortable.  We don’t like the idea of being the “bad guy” or of being the “mean boss”.  

But when we avoid doing difficult things, we lose the opportunity to develop better leadership skills for ourselves and for those we need to have tough conversations with.  Listen in, and let us know what you think.
