BioCentury’s editors also assess new challenges and opportunities for FDA and regulated industry now that the agency is starting to implement PDUFA VII and mandates from the spending bill passed by Congress late last year, including clinical trials diversity, and analyze a move in the House of Representatives to ban the use by federal or state governments of quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) to make health coverage or pricing decisions.
