Rental fee hikes at some Hamilton public school gyms have community and sporting groups panicked. One group whose costs yearly for rentals was $230 dollars would this year cost $12,000. What’s with the hike? Todd White, Board Chair and Ward 5 Trustee with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board National Steel Car has laid off 300 more workers, with the company’s VP of human resources saying that it’s due to slipping demand.
