Ward 3 Councillor Matthew Green wants the City of Hamilton to look into how the City’s laneways could be used to house tiny homes.

Hamilton City Council is looking to cancel the program that forces Hess Village bars to pay for extra policing during patio season. The Planning committee voted 7-2 in favor of the motion which still needs a sign off at council next week.

Premier Kathleen Wynne said yesterday that Ontario farmers and small businesses will receive some support from the government to transition to the new minimum wage, but offered no further details as to what it would look like or when it’d be made official.
