Drivers will soon be facing penalties for careless and distracted driving. New legislation says that a motorist convicted under the new proposed offence will face a fine of $2000 to $5000 dollars, a license suspension of up to five years and a loss of six demerit points. ALSO; a lawyer in Ottawa says that proposed changes to impaired driving laws could allow police to show up at your doorstep to demand a breath sample.

Nearly two thirds of public school students failed to meet the Ontario standards for grade 6 mathematics last year. How did the HWDSB do in regards to EQAO results otherwise? Are we seeing improvement?
