Recently Keri and I did a bikepacking trip in her home state of West Virginia. Because of her familiarity with the area she took the reins and created the route and I was just along for the ride. What a ride it was! On paper the route looked perfect, but there is no such thing as a perfect route and that's a lesson that's sometimes learned the hard way. Check out this podcast to hear the harrowing tale of adventure and misadventure...dun...dun....duuuuuunnnnnnn.

Ok, so maybe I'm overstating slightly for ratings and mostly everything went really well, but not everything and that's exactly where the real adventure begins.

A humorous note about this episode; this is the second take. We had recorded half of an episode the day before and we both agreed it was too drawn out and borderline boring. So the next day we tried again with a plan, an outline, and with breavity in mind. The result...a 1 hour and 45 minute podcast about our trip and that's AFTER I edited out 25 minutes of content. So maybe brevity isn't one of my strengths, but I also think it's a product of our excitement for this trip. I said it to my wife and the time and I still believe it to be true, that is "the best bikepacking trip I've ever been on". It had everything I look for; wildlife, beautiful views, perfect weather, great food along the route, challenges that test you, but don't break you, and some that do and you learn to be okay with that.

I hope you will enjoy joining us on our journey and hope that it inspires you to find your own adventure.
