This is the audio of the last 12 callers in the public comment period at which the Metro Planning Committee decides whether to advance the "Beautiful Boulevard" option for Metro's Bus Rapid Transit from NOHO to Pasadena.

The Beautiful Boulevard has won the endorsement of political leaders, Eagle Rock businesses, and transit users: https://www.eaglerockforward.org/coalition

In contrast to the unsatisfactory options Metro originally brought to its community outreach, the community-generated "Beautiful Boulevard" includes:
🌳 New Green Median 🚗 Maintains Travel Lanes 🚌 Dedicated Bus Lane 🚘 Maintains Parking 🚲 Bike Lanes.

At least one of Metro's original options would have removed existing bike lanes on Colorado Blvd.

The Beautiful Boulevard faces opposition from some homeowners and businesses. The "nimbys" appear to have an ally in Councilmember Kevin DeLeon, a politician who styles himself a climate champion, yet wrote that Metro rushed the process and needs "in person" meetings with stakeholders--presumably the kind who can more easily make it to in person meetings.
