It can be said with some certainty, Dustin Turner is the Navy SEAL left behind, as if he had been abandoned in a clandestine SEAL operation on some far-away beach.  In 1995, Turner had successfully completed SEAL training and was about to receive his Trident insignia. He had received orders to Central America. Then, his world was turned upside down.

“Dusty” Turner has spent more than half his life in prison for a murder he didn’t commit. He was a 20-year-old kid at the time.  At 43, he’s approaching middle-age behind bars in Virginia.

Leete tells the story in great detail in his documentary film “Target of Opportunity: US Navy SEALS and the Murder of Jennifer Evans. ” which can be purchased on I-Tunes or Amazon Prime.

It is an eye-opener, crying for justice.
Why is Leete so dogged in pursuing Turner’s freedom? Why, even after a lower court granted his release, is Turner still in prison? Why have three Virginia governors thus far refused to grant a pardon? What are the next steps for J.D. Leete?
Leete is happy to answer these and all your questions in the interest of bringing the national spotlight to this injustice.
