Born in Belize, Central America, to a military family, Melanie Greenwood spent a few years in England, with summer vacations in the United States.  In 1985, she moved to America, with her mother and sister, and has been here ever since, residing primarily in New Jersey.

Her work has won numerous awards, including the The Prometheus Muse of Fire Award, the Poet of the Year Medallion, and the Shakespeare Trophy of Excellence through The Famous Poets Society.  Her poems have also been published in several anthologies.

With an entrepreneur mindset, she decided to found Zillionaires Publishing, L.L.C., to publish words - Epic Poems of a Poetess, her first book of poetry.   Currently, she is working on her first novel, called Forevermore - A Love Story, coming later this year; the first chapter has been added as a special treat in her poetry book.

While she has many areas of interest – particularly traveling and learning new cultures – one of her greatest joys is inspiring others.  "Ill-literacy" in the world today is her biggest concern and therefore, she intends to volunteer in support for change.
