Few sports movies have garnered serious Oscar hype, and fewer have won Best Picture. "Chariots of Fire," the 1982 winner for Best Picture, isn't your typical sports movie. But, for the sake of this podcast, that might not be the best thing.
JR Hickey returns to Big Screen Sports to break down a movie that might be better for awards season than it is for sports season. He and Kyle talk running style, buzzkill siblings, and extreme examples of British politeness.
They'll discuss where "Chariots of Fire" falls on the sports movie scale & where the movie did an excellent job of being authentic in regards to the sport of track & field.
