This episode of Big Blend Radio’s 4th Wednesday “Tucson Sisters in Crime” show features Lynn Nicholas, author of “Dancing Between the Beats.”
Life, Like Dance, is What Happens Between the Beats. A romp into the world of ballroom dance, shaded with a tinge of white-collar crime. Delve into the hazards of friendships, obsession, and "creative" accounting. “Dancing Between the Beats” is a character-driven novel, set in the world of studio-based ballroom dance. In the fictional dance studio, Desert DanceSport, a muddy river of betrayal, obsession, and white-collar crime meanders under the surficial glitz and glamor of ballroom dance. Expectations soon clash with reality, forcing relationships and the status quo into the upheaval of change. As everyone soon learns, life, like dance, is what happens between the beats.
The Tucson Sisters in Crime is a local Tucson, Arizona chapter of the international organization Sisters in Crime. They are authors, writers, readers, librarians, editors, publishers, agents, and booksellers with a passion for the mystery genre. They welcome Sisters and Brothers in Crime from everywhere who have an interest in writing, and in the Southern Arizona mystery community.
Featured music on this episode is “Only the Best Dancer” by James Saunders.
