Kwame and the band released their debut LP (Roots Rock N Universal Love) in the summer of 2017. The Album includes a stellar collaboration with Grammy award winning Guitarist/Producer Vernon Reid, the title song “Universal Love” produced by Reid and written by Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Jimmy Cliff. Kwame Binea Shakedown features Kwame Binea (front man), Justin Wilcox (guitarist and back-up vocals), Medley Shabazz (drummer), Kengo (saxophone), Brian Red Varneke (trumpet), Phil Bass (bass).
- Nicki Kris- Raleigh, North Carolina based singer-songwriter Nicki Kris joins Big Blend Radio with her latest two singles “Heartbeat” and “Rise”. Nicki delivers a unique blend of dynamic songwriting and powerhouse vocal chops creating crossover appeal in multiple areas. Nicki has been able to explore various musical styles over the past few years which has awarded her multiple Official Grammy Ballot placements in several categories for songwriting and performance over the past 5 years, as well as, several film/TV placements, and multiple songwriting awards.
