Currently an online educator and freelance writer, blogger, podcaster, who worked for almost two decades in higher education PR, Diane made the shift to the faculty side of academia after experiencing the European work-life balance while living in Hungary as an English instructor. Her special interest in Hungary developed while doing research on television there in 2004, which, in a roundabout way led her to become an importer of Hungarian wines to the US.

She’s writing a few books: her memoir, “Getting Hungary; Thirsty for Hungary,” a book on Hungarian wine basics; and most recently, family memoirs, including “Aunt Marie’s Diaries,” a book about her great aunt’s life based on diaries written from 1930 to 1941, and her grandmother’s stories called “Out of Ithaca.”
