Paul spends the first 4.5 chapters in his letter to the churches in rebuking them to not go to another gospel. The Gentile Christians were being persuading by false teachings that they must obey the Law of Moses, specifically circumcision, in order to be saved.
Galatians is a response to what we is happening in Act 15. Luke is describing the actions of the Judaizers, where Galatians is a letter from Paul to some churches who bought into their false teaching.
