We can only understand the meaning of the death of Jesus of Nazareth when viewed from the fact of his resurrection from the dead. Jesus arose. He who was dead 3 days arose from the dead and he lives forever. The New Testament is written from this perspective. The proclamation of this reality that his foes could not counter is what spread the message. A living Savior who had atoned for them filled their hearts with joy and their souls with peace. Christ resurrection proved his claims and was the divine receipt that sin had been atoned and people could now have eternal fellowship with the holy God.
