Merit is a distributed venture capital platform with the mission to diversify the venture capital space. Users anonymously submit analyses and thinking about a company or industry and provide feedback on other users’ submissions. The goal is to allow aspiring investors to create a track record of investment theses to then pursue a career in venture capital.
Users will learn how to think about products, markets and teams like an investor. They will train their critical thinking, writing and negotiation skills while doing something that is a lot of fun. If they manage to rank among the top performers, they can qualify to become an emeritus, giving them access to a great network of venture capitalists, which when hiring talent will put them on top of the huge stack of applications.
