Growing up, Mohammed Faisal moved around a lot. Originally from Bangladesh, his family arrived in Queens when he was three. With constant rent increases and his Father’s bad credit, the family of 6 couldn’t afford to stay in one home. This was his first experience with the power of financial literacy.

After graduating college, Mohammed decided to solve the lack of financial knowledge plaguing disadvantaged neighborhoods and in 2016 he created The Money Hub. The Money Hub has since helped over 4000 public school kids all across New York City.  Giving them a powerful understanding of how to obtain financial security.

In this episode of #BeTheChange, Mohammed and I speak about his work with Money Hub and why an early education in money management for our children is imperative to creating financial equality in their adult lives.
