What does God have to say to Christians living in the most powerful empire in the world?
Changing the way we look at the world.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
-Romans 12:2
The emperor is not the most powerful person in the world.
“Christ” = anointed one
“Paul, a servant of King Jesus . . .”
“Apostle” = one who is sent
“Gospel” = good news
Paul was a servant of King Jesus, sent on a mission to tell people everywhere the good news of Jesus.
We need to know where we fit in the story.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
