This week hosts Koji Steven Sakai and M. Martin Mapoma brought on Sandra Wilson. In this first episode, we got to know Sandra, who spoke about the “Sixties Scoop” program, the mass removal of Aboriginal Canadian children from their families into the child welfare system, which she was unknowingly apart of.

Sandra Wilson is a Canadian citizen who spent time in Africa with her adopted parents who worked for the Canadian high commission. Sandra is in the process of discovering the history behind hers and her two sister’s adoption in Canada. She is sixties scoop survivor.
