Here is a flash back to a previously lost episode from 2014, after the announcement that Scarlett Johansson would star in a upcoming American adaption of Ghost in the Shell. The NonPro team sat down to talk about some of the questions raised by this creative decision.  At what point does an adaption move far enough from its source material to stand on its own?  What is the responsibility of the American film industry as it exports films around the world to international audiences?

The NonPro team recognizes that our views on this subject have grown in the years since this discussion was recorded.  In the wake of movies like Ghost in the Shell and Death Note, as well as television series like Iron Fist, our knowledge on the subject and the media in question has increased.  However, we feel any conversation about increasing representation in media is an important one that we wanted to share.
