CW: this episode discusses extreme sexual violence

BAP goes north in this episode to the frigid cold of Sweden and examines the 2011 adaptation of Stieg Larson’s international bestseller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Sony pictures eagerly purchased the rights to the book with hopes of creating a successful franchise. Directed by David Fincher, the film alienated audiences and critics alike with its intense violence and depravity. But is this adaptation due for a reappraisal? Joined by longtime listener, first-time caller Mads Clark (Under the Influence with Mads and Mitch Podcast) Frank and Caleb discuss tattoos, Fincher’s obsession with violence, and Enya.
