BAP begins its LA Noir miniseries with a discussion of The Big Sleep, the 1947 adaptation of the Raymond Chandler novel. Directed by Howard Hawks and featuring the real-life romantic duo of Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, the film is a formative entry in the noir genre. Joined again by Will Drickey, Caleb and Frank try to solve the film’s various mysteries - Was Howard Hawks ever in a threesome with Bogie and Bacall? Has Will ever gotten drunk in the back of an ambulance? Will we get DMCA’d for singing Happy Birthday on mic? And perhaps the greatest mystery of all – is this a Radaptation?
