1. Some housekeeping about how I approach preaching and teaching.--2. So, we continued with our gospel testimony of the nature of faith that pleases God.--3. We have worked the testimony of how Rahab the prostitute got a good testimony from God and we expanded the testimony by introducing the testimony of Jephthah.--4. And God wants us to really understand that none was and is saved by what they actually did or do and so the Holy Spirit gave us a summary of some of the luminaries of faith and saying none was saved by the Law keeping.--5. God gave us a list of those that were saved before the Law -Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah-, those saved in the giving of the Law and after the Law, but not saved by the Law -Moses- and those who grew up outside the Covenant of the Law like a Gentile who also was a Harlot. These got the same score card because of the principle of faith in the Invisible Christ, because salvation is not of works. --6. And we went into the story of Jephthah and how he got into Hebrews 11 and that is the body of the message.--7. And that means we had to work Judges 11 and extract gospel testimony from that story. And this is a wonderful gospel message for those who have never heard the gospel testimony of Jephthah and his daughter.--8. It is a gospel nugget feeding frenzy and may the Lord be pleased to give you the ears to hear because it is free-
