1. Joseph is with his brothers and many hidden gospel statements are made in the conversations.--2. The sovereignty of God is absolute in all things and we do not try to lessen it to make it agreeable with human ideas.--3. All matters that have happened in His creation are to His glory-with Him being the first cause.--4. So, the sin of the brothers of Joseph was to a much greater end-the glory of Joseph in Egypt and their salvation from famine.--5. So, our sin was ordained of God to the glory of Christ.--6. But those who are the brothers of Joseph freely got a change of garments courtesy of Joseph and at no cost to them.--7. And that was declaration of their standing before him and even Pharaoh who accepted them into Egypt and blessed them with the best land on account of Joseph.--8. That and many more gospel nuggets.
