Philly’s art scene (and the city in general) just got a very cool new addition. It’s called Wonderspaces, and this beautiful new art venue brings art installations and pieces from all over the world to showcase here in Philly. Wonderspaces currently houses fourteen art installations that all play with the idea of perspective.  The artwork ranges from an award-winning virtual reality short film about a dinner party-turned-alien abduction, to a room where visitors digitally paint the walls with movement. It’s sort of hard to describe, but definitely worth checking out. Listen as Jennifer McCreary, the General Manager of Wonderspace speaks with Kristen about the venture’s concept, current line-up, and plans for the future. Tickets and info at wonderspaces.com.

Then, Riverdance is in town! Seen live by over 27.5 million people in 546 venues worldwide. Catch the show at the Kimmel Center’s Merriam Theater through Sunday, January 26th with two performances on Saturday (2pm and 8pm) and two performances on Sunday (1pm and 6:30pm). Two of the lead dancers, Gianna Petrasic and Will Bryant join Kristen in the studio to talk about what it’s like to dance in this classic show, the history of Riverdance, and the way that it has been adapted for its 25th season and a whole new audience.  Buy tickets at KimmelCenter.org.

Then Leigh Goldenberg, Executive Director of Theatre Philadelphia, returns to BEN Around Philly to offer details about the 3rd Annual Philly Theatre Week, going on February 6th-16th.
