Gil Cnaan, the co-owner of the Philadelphia Renaissance Faire returns to the show to talk about this year’s Faire. That’s right, I said Philadelphia Renaissance Faire. It’s here in Philly on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th from 11am-7pm and next weekend too, Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th. Located at Philadelphia's historic Fort Mifflin (6400 Fort Mifflin Road), with all your Faire favorites, turkey legs, mead, shows, chainmail and more. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for kids 3-12 and free for under 3. $10 Parking with free shuttles running all day. Join Kristen Herrmann and the BEN-FM Prize Patrol at the Philadelphia Renaissance Faire on Saturday, May 4th from 11am-2pm. For tickets and more info visit http://phillyrenfaire.com/.

Then Melissa Levy, Executive Director of PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) joins Kristen in the studio to talk about this year’s Philly Loves PAWS Day. In its fifth year, Philly Loves PAWS Day is a day held each May where nearly 100 local businesses donate 10% or more of proceeds to support PAWS’ lifesaving efforts. Support these businesses on Wednesday, May 15th, and you will in turn be helping to support PAWS. Proceeds will enable PAWS to rescue and care for Philadelphia’s most vulnerable animals, and bring Philadelphia one step closer to becoming a no-kill city. Find more information and a list of participating businesses at https://phillylovespaws.org/
