The first of the coronavirus BEN Around Philly episodes, with zero events happening in the area. We had three segments edited and ready to go, and then all three events were postponed.
What we DID include though, is an interview with the incredible Maria Grasso. She's the Executive Director of Get Your Rear In Gear Philadelphia. She lost two loved ones to colon cancer, and decided to focus her grief into action, spreading awareness about colon cancer and raising funds for research. She and her organization are a great resource for other families in the area affected by colon cancer, and we are lucky to have her here in Philadelphia. March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Please help spread the word about colon cancer awareness. Then, we re-aired two still-current interviews. One with Gavin O'Conner who directed the film The Way Back starring Ben Affleck. The other with Anya Taylor-Joy who stars in Emma, the latest Jane Austen adaptation. Be sure to check both films out if/when they return to theaters, or look for them when they are released.
